DAY (1) : ARRIVAL LOIKAW ( – / – / – )
Loikaw; it is located in the Karen Hills of Kayah state. This small town is naturally decorated the picturesque lakes, hill scenery and distinctive tribal cultures. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel (International check-in time is 14:00PM). Your tour visit to the morning market where local people are selling their produce. Then visit to Kayah State Cultural Museum which displays their various traditional dresses such as bronze drums used in wedding and funeral occasions, silverware and musical instruments.
Afterward visit to a local family house where make the state’s signature dish “Kayah Sausage”. Another attraction is Taungkwe Pagoda, the landmark of Kayah state. Which built on across two mountains and you’ll climb up over various steep steps and it is worthwhile for a stunning view over the city and nearby. Transfer to hotel.
DAY (2) : LOIKAW – PANPET VILLAGE – LOIKAW( B / – / – )
Breakfast at your hotel. This morning, visit Myoma Market (on market day only) where you will see local people selling their produce. Then your tour road to Panpet Village (also known Padaung Village) (approx. 1 hour). A short trek to the community village experience the local’s daily life. Padaung women are traditionally wear a great many brass rings around their neck and ankles starting from as young as age six. Nowadays, you will see these rings in elderly women only.
Your tour will be light trekking into jungle and enjoy a moderately through lush, shady and forest. Arrival at Panpet village – this is one of the first Kayan settlements of Kayah state. The trek ends in Rang Ku hamlet, where you can meet the famous Kayan women (known as Long Neck Women) who are a symbol of Kayah state. We spent quite a bit of time here – chatting with Kayan people and learning a few words of Kayan language. There you may also buy local handicrafts. Return to Loikaw and transfer to hotel.
DAY (3) : FULL DAY LOIKAW ( B / – / – )
Breakfast at hotel. Today you will discover the life style of local people by enjoying activities in Hta Nee La Leh, a farming village. Activities begin with a quick welcome at the Hta Nee La Leh community center. Then visit to Kaetoebo site and Hunting Shrine, where we can learn about local beliefs and spiritual life. From here, enjoy a fan Ox cart ride through the Lotus Pond to the scenic 7 Lakes (also known Kan Khon Na Sint). Relax by the lake and enjoy the forested, mountain scenery before drive back to Loikaw. Then you visit to local house to learn and listen to traditional instruments and try your hand playing them. Stop at one of the Loikaw’s weaving center, where beautiful Kayah longyi patterns are made. Afterward, drive to Htee Se Khar Waterfall its 25km away from Loikaw and the waterfall itself is a natural wonder surrounded by lush green forest. Return to your hotel.
DAY (4): LOIKAW DEPARTURE ( B / – / – )
Breakfast at hotel. This morning, transfer to Loikaw airport for your onward flight.
